I was so into Initial D for so long but since about halfway through season 4 they just drag out the races so damn long by having people talk and talk and talk about random crap that has nothing to do with anything. It's gotten almost unwatchable for me, with Season 5 being the worst. This Final Stage stuff is continuing that pattern it seems.

I'll admit, I kinda feel the same way. What little plot that's left is boring and under-serviced; all the action is the racing. And even that seems a little ridiculous, now that I've been hanging out with car nuts on mountains at midnight for over a year now...

This series got a ton more anime since I last saw it. Why is that RX-7 vanishing? It's cornier than usual.
